       Myth, legend and history make to know that the Calabria us e' for the wine original place, Enotria (Oinotria, from oinotron, pole from vine) is one of the first names with which it it came called and the Enotri, its first inhabitants, they were people of vine-growers.
     Sweet, mild, generous earth, naturally voted to the cultivation of the vine, in the BigGreek period it saw the introduction of greeks vines valuable, from which excellent wines were produced, diffuse and famous. The Calabrian colonies - lands particularly beloveds to Dionisio, and to Dionisio devout people - they also saw to be born the cultivation of the wine as produced they trades, demanded and appreciated in the entire Mediterranean basin.
      And such tradition continued also in roman age, through the Middle Ages and it resisted to all the invasions and dominations that were alternated in lands of Calabria; in the 1500's, the wines white men calabrians were the predelights from Pope Paul III Farnese.
    And if it has been, in last the three centuries, a period of opacity R-with regard to the notoriety of wines calabrians - due to the inability to be to the step with means and the modern processes of production - the Calabria today has been reappropriated of its oenological traditions, of its art of the unparalleled vinification, and it is rediscover elect earth for the production of valuable red, white and rose-coloured wines.
